Veterinary Theatre Nurse Team Leader Wanted– Animal Referral Centre, Auckland.

Animal Referral Centre is a private small animal referral practice established in 2016 on the North Shore of Auckland, close to beautiful beaches and a large shopping mall. It is independently owned and operated and has specialists in small animal surgery, diagnostic imaging, internal medicine, neurology and referral services for Cardiology and Hydrotherapy.

We have all the equipment you would expect in a modern referral veterinary hospital including full in-house laboratory suite with Radiometer, multiparameter patient monitors, digital radiography, ultrasound, endoscopy, underwater treadmill, mechanical ventilation, on-site CT, and dedicated cat and dog receptions, consulting rooms and wards.
We are looking for a full time nurse to lead the theatre team at ARC.

What you will have:

  • Diploma in Veterinary Nursing or Bachelor of Veterinary Technology degree (or overseas equivalent)
  • Strong interest in anaesthesia and surgical assistance
  • At least 2 years of veterinary nursing experience
  • Leadership experience
  • Ability to perform triage, place IV catheters, take blood samples, take radiographs, etc
  • Willing to work shifts, including weekends & public holidays
