Veterinary nurse - Theatre Team

We are looking for an experienced nurse to join the team at ARC in a full time role. This role will primarily involve working within the theatre team, but will also include nursing in other areas as required. The successful applicant will have a strong interest in anaesthesia and surgical assistance, and will be interested in developing their skills in these areas.

Surgical theatres are well equipped with Synthes orthopaedic kits and power tools, surgical stapling equipment, Ligasure vessel sealing technology, IMEX ESF and HD arthroscopy. The clinic has a new 64 slice Siemens CT, digital radiography, C-arm image intensification, ultrasound, endoscopy, mechanical ventilation and dedicated cat and dog receptions, consulting rooms and treatment areas. We have access to off-site 3T MRI and radiation therapy. A purpose built small animal rehabilitation centre is also onsite.

Applicants for this role must hold a Diploma in Veterinary Nursing or Bachelor of Veterinary Technology degree (or overseas equivalent) and have at least 2 years of veterinary nursing experience.

  • Flexibility and the capability to manage an ever changing caseload due to emergencies.
